Faith's 4 year birthday party

Monday was Faith's four-year-old birthday. It is hard to believe that she is already this old! We were looking back at some of the pictures and remembering various things that she did at certain stages. We have much to be thankful for!

Ready to go hunting

Jonathan has been given the tools that he needs in order to go hunting. He has some camo overalls, a camo blanket, some camo booties, and a camo hat. What else could he need?

Oh yes, that is taken care of. Someone has already given him his first gun. No, it's not a .270; it is a BB gun! We thought that was a special gift for such a special guy. Enjoy the pictures!

Update

Jonathan's left arm has increased fairly well in mobility. Last night was the first time that I have seen him raise his arm above his head! It was so good watching him stretch and put both arms above his head. I know this sounds petty to some of you; however, it was a joy to see the hand of God at work in my son. Up until two weeks ago, his left arm would lie to his side with very little movement. I am grateful for answered prayer. For those of you out there who have been praying, thank you.

I will try and put some more pictures up here soon.

Growing up in pictures

Just thought that I would pass along a few cute pictures of our family! Well, these are mostly of Faith and Jonathan. We are so incredibly pleased with how Faith is doing - no jealousy or bitterness toward time spent with Jonathan.

For those of you who don't know, Faith's nickname for Jonathan is Johnny-ba-nonny (pronounced just that way, too!).

As you can see, she loves holding him, kissing him, and helping Sarah take care of him. She is a tremendous helper for Mommy.

Here are some other pictures of Jonathan. Enjoy!

One week birthday!

Jonathan is eating well and sleeping well...just not long enough for Mommy and Daddy! We are very blessed by Jonathan - "gift from God." Sarah and I have both thought that God's grace (undeserved favor; gift) is certainly demonstrated through him.

Jonathan does appear to have some lack of mobility with his left arm. The doctors noticed this immediately after they took him for observation, testing, etc. He can squeeze with his hand and shrug with his shoulder; however, he cannot hold his left arm up. His pediatrician told us not to be concerned since he has seen many cases similar to Jonathan's. The doctor mentioned a group of nerves near the shoulder (forgot the name) that may be pinched or something. We may have to go through some physical therapy with him; however, that is not in the immediate plans at this point.

It is hard to believe that he was born just one week ago today. In some ways, it seems like it hasn't been that long. In other ways, it seems like he has been with us for much longer.

Faith continues to be a big helper for Sarah while I am working. We are both very proud of her.

That's about all for now. I will try and keep this blog updated with pictures as often as I can.

The birth of Jonathan!

Jonathan David was born on Friday, December 29 at 2:13 PM. He weighed in at 9 pounds 5 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. A big boy, eh??

Sarah did a wonderful job through the pregnancy and delivery. God displayed His grace in a relatively quick delivery.

Here are some pictures for you to enjoy. I will try and do a better job of updating this blog with pictures of our family!

We would love to hear from you so reply with your comments!

Here's.......Jonathan!

Sorry that it has been so long since I have posted anything. It seems that everyone is so busy these days and we are certainly no exception.

I wanted to post this latest picture of Jonathan David so that you can see him! It was taken on Monday during Sarah's sonogram. The sonogram technician did a really good job of capturing his little yawn!

Sarah is a little over six months into the pregnancy. She isn't due until January 13; however, we both believe that Jonathan will arrive before Christmas. The doctor will induce on December 29th if he hasn't made an arrival on his own.

Enjoy this picture and know that we are thankful for you! Reply to this post and let us know how you are all doing!

Expecting!

We just wanted to pass along to everyone that Sarah is pregnant! God has been good to us in providing maternity insurance. Sarah's projected due date is sometime late in December or early January!

We will try and keep you posted as we hear news.
